Munly And The Lee Lewis Harlots
click me
I found this funny snippet about Munly:
| Quote: | | In fact he's better than Nick Cave. Nick has more history and recordings, but Munly is right on your back Nick for King Goth. And he's skinnier than you ever were. |
and the another funny thing! one of his song title: Rufus Wainwright, I'm Coming After You
@cdvaught-thx for the new link! |

Thanks for the Shearwater album alex. It rocks Certainly way more interesting than what I've heard of Okkervil River.
Been listening to Essie Jain lately. She reminds me of Diane Cluck, Chan Marshall and Sandy Denny rolled into one.

So many great memories attatched to this album, I've been thinking about it for a few days and popped it on when I got home from work this evening, it's still superb!

A really good friend left work yesterday, Australia bound. We'd worked together for the last 5 years and I can truely say I miss her already.
So with a lump in my throat and tear in my eye I dedicate this to Mina, my 'Ungoi Itlog' (monkey testicle).

vic, sometimes robert fisher reminds me nick cave, isn't it? but why did he put the pisa tower with no inclination on the album cover art? |

yes alex, his voice reminds me of nick too; and i think he even quotes nick on an earlier album - ('god is in the house').
i'm not sure what he means with that pisa tower.

his first solo album didn't impress me much, but this second one is quite delicious (9 songs made only by vocals, piano & cello). the opening track features emmanuelle seigner as guest backing vocals (eli, gabi did you know that woman could also sing? ).
brett anderson - wilderness

p.s.: but I have still to admit my preferred brett was the one in the early suede albums! |
